The casting process of 6082 aluminum plate
1. The characteristic of smelting 6082 alloy is that it contains Mn, which is a refractory metal, and the melting temperature should be controlled at 740-760℃. Stir evenly for more than two times before sampling to ensure that the metal is completely melted, the temperature is accurate, and the composition is uniform. After stirring, take a sample from the middle of the molten aluminum depth and on the left and right sides of the furnace for analysis, and the converter can be converted after the analysis is qualified.
2. After the purification and casting melt is transferred to the stationary furnace, it is sprayed with nitrogen and refining agent and air jet refining, the refining temperature is 735-745℃, and the time is 15 minutes. After refining, let it stand for 30 minutes. Through this process, degassing, slag removal, and melt purification. During casting, there are two filtering devices between the mold and the furnace mouth. The furnace mouth is filtered by a foam ceramic filter plate (30PPI). Before casting, it is filtered with a 14-mesh glass fiber cloth to fully filter out the oxides and slag inclusions in the melt.
The casting temperature of 6082 alloy aluminum plate is relatively high (compared with the normal process of 6063 aluminum plate), the casting speed is relatively low, and the water flow is relatively large. The above process needs to be strictly controlled and cannot exceed the range, otherwise it will easily lead to casting failure.
